guest what MsBlacsuede you told it like it is. people join organizations to be somebody special and for the social life but reckon about this. you have people sending their kids to church every sunday not for the sake of being one accord with god but to make them selfs look excellent in front of the in crowd . the kids are forced to meet people they don’t like but the parents don’t care how their own kids feel about it . personally i called them hypocrites ,what do you call them please respond

Honestly you market the parties and the social aspect and that is what people want. I didn’t pledge thought about it but why? If you want people to want to know about the internal aspect, market that. “well we can’t talk about that you will have to pledge” than how do you expect a person to want to buy about these things. I wanted to pledge but realized that I would have to make a mental transformation. If you want people to respect the internal aspects, market them.

Denounce all greek affiliations now! And make Jesus Christ the head of your life! For those of you who pledge have no thought the real historic origins of this stuff. If you want to know what I’m talking about see all the videos about Ex Soror speaks out and Real talk 1 Black fraternities. It’s way deeper than you reckon. Jesus is Lord! Satan is deceiving many this day and time. Wake up!

I want to pledge sorority XYZ for i guess different reasons compared to the ppl talked about in the vid. The one I wanna pledge is very active in organizations that are dear to me. I honestly dont reckon about the stepping and all but more about how its gonna allow me to help others and the friendships and bonds i’ll make if i get accepted

So to people that are non-greeks dont just look down on us for the things that you see that are terrible in greek organizations because the excellent woman in DELTA SIGMA THETA outweight the T’shirt wearers! Its a lot of excellent things that we do at colleges but there are wayyy more things that we do in the community that outsiders dont get to see!

  15. ShereeShereeon 08 May 2010 at 5:00 pm

books to school, and my chapter at my school give a numbers of scholarships to needy students with ummm the money we make at parties and that we win at stepshows!!!! We go do national community service, take trips to leadership conferrences to become better leaders and servers to our community on money that we get from parties!

  16. ShereeShereeon 08 May 2010 at 5:00 pm

. But thats with anything in life, relationships, jobs, and organizations of any sort, not just greeks! But I know there are excellent and terrible parts of anything in life! I LIKE DELTA so much for what we were founded on, and what we do now. The step shows we do are fundraisers, the parties we do are guess what ……fundraisers, so we can donate money to charites, give

g people are going to be given the opportunity in many endeavors in life. Look at a job for an instance, in the interview they can sound like a excellent worker with excellent work ethic and then get the job and show that they are bone idle or something of that nature! Some people are excellent at putting up a facade and making it seem that they want to join for the right reasons and there right colors shine through after they cross

No disrespect, but a “Black Greek” is a Oxy Moron. You all are not conscious. You dont know your history and if you do you dont respect it. What happened to Black African? Most of you are Excellent Trained BrainWashed Negros, promoting the White mans agenda. Some of you willingly and sum of you dont even know it. Dare I say SELLOUTS to the African race in America and abroad. You gets no respect in my book. Youd rather team up with a known oppressor and murderer of your people than to stand and fight

i always wanted to be in a sorority but stepping was the last thing on my mind i barely have ryhthm! i’m more interested in the sister hood and making the community better place parties are fun but u can party without turning greek! people are crazy and the incorrect people are given the opportunity!

Girl, you hit it on the head!!! I really agree with what you saying, it’s a shame how people waste so much time AND money to get a mark that they aren’t even dedicated to….

  21. Kiowa521on 08 May 2010 at 5:00 pm

First off….I was certainly just stickin to your intro. THANKS FOR THAT!!! (Haha)

Like I said in the other video, it’s the superficial shit like the things you mentioned that made me initially cringe when people question me “when am I pledging.”

  22. bluacheon 08 May 2010 at 5:00 pm

I dont reckon being greek changes a person. I reckon it brings out what was already there (Excellent or Terrible). Just my opinion.

  23. candi187on 08 May 2010 at 5:00 pm

i really agree with this video, i see it all to much at the university i attend an HBCU at that, and im tired of it, people have forgotten their history n wat they ultimately stand for as a whole. so sad

  24. hypnotiqdomon 08 May 2010 at 5:00 pm
